Question formats: Multi-Choice Single Answer, Multi-Choice Multi-Answer, Multi-Choice Ordered Answer, True / False (Yes / No), True / False / Open, Fill in the Blank (numeric responses), Likert 3,4,5 (Agree / Disagree)
Questions can be prepared in ConVA Lesson / Assessment Editor which is a WYSWYG Html editor. Assessments are “played” in a Web Browser Window. Assessments can contain any object / media (images, flash, audio, video) that can be displayed / hosted in web page.
ConVA has an Ad-Hoc Assessment feature that can poll students presented questions outside of ConVA, verbally or through tools like PPT.
Can a teacher use a hard-copy, multiple choice assessment, and the student input their answers into the clicker and the scores be recorded?
YES with students paced together. Planned upgrades to ConVA will allow students to respond at their own pace.
Does a database of questions (curriculum) currently exist?
YES, approx. 84,000 standard, grade and topic aligned assessments are available in the ConVA Lesson / Assessment Databank
If questions (curriculum) exist, are they aligned to state curriculum?
YES, state standards for all states are referenced by each Lesson / Assessment.
What are the reporting features and formats?
ConVA maintains a comprehensive database of all the information related to an assessment session including; Teacher, Topic, Lesson, Date / Time, Location, Assessment, Student Roster, Remote Quality, Student Responses, Correctness, Grading, Response Timings, etc. Extensible prepared reports can filter and aggregate this data in a number of ways for viewing, printing and exporting in PDF and XLS formats.
How are the questions displayed (software program, PPT, etc)?
Questions are displayed using ConVA Assessment Player which is an Web Browser Window. So, any content that can be published to the web can be played.
With ConVA’s Ad-Hoc feature, questions can also be delivered by any medium (verbally, web, PPT, etc)
Is there a separate software program to learn?
ConVA provides the most modern user-interface available today. Learning to play and prepare assessments is simple.
What are the minimum and maximum of number of clickers that can be used at one time?
200 remotes maximum … no minimum
Can you export into commonly used grading systems? If so, which ones? Is excel one of the programs?
Yes, ConVA’s reports can be exported directly to XLS. ConVA also provides a Pack-n-Go feature throughout its datastore. ConVA can export and import Lessons, Assessments, Rosters and other data via a simple XML format making the data portable to a variety of systems.
Can you import student’s names and information from commonly used attendance programs?
Using ConVA XML based Pack-n-Go feature, data can be easily transferred into and out of ConVA
Can the grading system record demographics of students related to No Child Left Behind?
The database that ConVA deploys is extensible, additional fields of data can be added to any record, including student demographics.
Can a third party (parents, district office, etc) open grading system to see student’s grades?
Not directly through ConVA, however ConVA collected information (student grades from Lesson Assessments) can be exported (PDF, for example) ready for publishing to website portals.
Can you bring graphics (clip art) into the question slides?
Yes, you can include any items into and assessment slide that can be displayed / embedded into a web page including images, flash movies, animated gifs, audio and video clips.
Can you take attendance with clickers?
Indirectly yes. A specified roster of students for a ConVA session is marked with information about each student who connects via their remote to the base station. Teachers can see list of those who and who have not logged into the session.
After assessment has been completed, what are the charting options? (Bar graphs, line, scatter, etc) Can they be saved and/or are they immediate?
Teachers see a count of correctness (x of y) and a bar chart of the distribution of answers received. Teachers can view this information as responses are received, after polling is complete and report on this data anytime after the session (historically).
What are the assessment grading options (quiz, daily, participation, test, etc)
ConVA does not differentiate. All assessments and responses are obtained, graded and stored for purposes to be decided at a later time.
What types of technical support will be offered for the end-user? (online, in-person, phone call)

Can or would it tie into existing hardware peripherals?
Yes, ConVA is a Student Response System AND an Audio Visual Control System in one package. With ConVA you can easily control projectors, document cameras, media players and other controllable equipment.
